Empowering Women Through Goat Farming in Bangladesh

We are delighted to have started the year by supporting a visionary initiative which initially began in 2017 to empower women through comprehensive capacity building in backyard goat farming.

This fantastic project in Bangladesh is in collaboration with VSF-Sweden and the Model Livestock Advancement Foundation (MLAF). By supporting this project this year we are helping 20 women who are in very challenging circumstances, receive training which will strengthen their role as income earners while improving animal welfare. Upon completion of the course and passing the examination, each participant will keep her goat, which will help to sustain the household.
