Bike or Hike for a Great Cause – Join Wheels Without Borders! Over the past 17 years, our passionate community of cyclists has raised over €325,000 to support Vets Without Borders Ireland, funding life-changing animal health and farming projects around the world.
Previously known as Viva Wheelers, this much-loved annual tradition has a new name – Wheels Without Borders – and we’re back for 2025 with an unforgettable day of outdoor adventure and impact!
Date:Saturday, September 13th Location: The stunning Slieve Bloom Mountains, on the Laois–Offaly border.
Just over an hour from Dublin and Limerick (and two from Cork and Galway), the Slieve Blooms are a hidden gem of peaceful roads, scenic trails, and breathtaking views — perfect for a day out in nature.
Bike/Hike Start Time: 10.30am Meeting Point: Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore. R35K2T9. NB: Registration from 9.30am & Tea/Coffee. Starting at 10.30am. Choose Your Challenge when you register:
100km Cycle Route – Ride the routes loved by local cyclists - this route will head from Tullamore to Kinnitty and then up the Slieve Blooms before descending to tackle the second climb to The Cut viewing point. A food stop in Clonaslee will be followed by the return to Tullamore via Kilcormac before joining the Grand Canal for the last few kilometres into town.
60km Cycle Route - this route heads to Clonaslee avoiding the two climbs in the Slieve Blooms and after the food stop in Clonaslee returns to Tullamore also via the Grand Canal.
Guided Hike – Take in the beauty of the mountains at a gentler pace. This will be the Glenbarrow Loop Walk with local guide Gerry Hanlon.

For anyone wishing to stay overnight a limited number of rooms are reserved at The Bridge House Hoteluntil August 29th. Please book directly with the hotel. Rates are as follows - single B*B price is €165 and €210 for a twin/double.
